We got a really nice writeup from BH-Review this week and we wanted to share it with you.
Paul K. Barnes over at BH-Review — one of the more established music publications out there, running since 1999 — took a deep dive into "Black Petals Fallen" and we're genuinely grateful for the time and attention they gave it. The opening line alone made us smile: "What if Debbie Harry joined AC/DC?"
We'll take it.
The piece gets into the story behind the song — how it started as a Magnus demo with a drum loop Josh had to learn to play along with, how the lyrics grew out of a poem Magnus had written years ago, how Ruby shaped the chorus and melody. It's the kind of coverage that actually talks about the music, and that means a lot to us.
They also touched on what's coming — LunaFest, the vinyl, the EP re-release. Things are moving fast right now and it's good to have people paying attention.
