Fresh Music World Sat Down With Us. Here's What We Had to Say.

Fresh Music World published an exclusive interview with us this week. Here are a few of our favorite exchanges:

On what's remained consistent about our sound: "Our fascination with, and exploration of, love and death — the two great mysteries."

On keeping music feeling like music and not like a business: "The trick is not letting the business of music interfere with your relationship to music. When Ruby, Josh and I step on stage...we try and let all that fall away and let the feeling take over."

And on the album leaning darker than some of what came before: "We keep telling people we're a Goth band, but then my friend hears 'Spirit Animal' and he says, 'Bullshit! This is straight up Classic Rock.' True, we have some bangers with some glorious pop hooks, but the album is deep and dark...just how we like it."

That last one pretty much sums it up.
